Tony, Thanks for answering. I tried to do what you ask. The thing is when I go to address book for that guy (right click on contact from open message, choose 'Open Outlook properties' - see first capture -, the presence indicator is correct in there and I don't have 'Open' or 'Save' commands (so I do not receive an 'Update dialog'). Also the Outlook properties dialog does have a correct presence indicator, I have a green 'Actions' button in dialog (cannot show it here due to the 2 attached pictures limit). Even stranger, when I click on 'Actions' and then dismiss the dialog that opens, the presence then becomes unknown: So what's going on? What's wrong.
The 6.1 update allows users to call and chat with contacts directly from Microsoft Outlook; search and add contacts more easily; and manage accounts from a new profile page, according to officials. Dec 29, 2016 - Let me assist you with presence unknown error in Outlook. 2) What type of email account do you use in Outlook (POP, IMAP, MAPI or Exchange)? Office 2013 english for mac sierra taringa.
We need to click 'Add to contacts' and update the current contact, However, per your screenshot, it seems the contact information is not the latest update of contact. I suspect you have failed to update OAB in your local machine. Have you tried to download Offline Address Book manually from Send/Receive Tab > Send/Receive groups > Download Address book. If you have received any error code or message during the process, please post it here.

I indeed have and 'update' prompt, which I confirmed. Upon doing this, the presence problem is not solved. I will try to re explain what I'm doing. 1/ Context I have Outlook 2013 (actually Office 2013 pro plus) installed.

I'm accessing an Exchange 2010 server (I gues quite up to date) in exchange cached mode. We also have Lync 2013 configured and working (presence is correct in Lync).
I also have the Outlook social connectors configured for LinkedIn, Facebook & Sharepoint (SP being the default). 2/ Problem When I open a message, no presence is shown in the 'From' field (but it is shown in 'To' and 'Cc'!) See picture: Now, when I right click on John entry, I get a presence unknown status: I will continue in another post since we're limited to 2 images per post. (hope I can!). After applying todays updates (from Windows Update), the problem seems to be fixed. Can anyone confirm? Thanks Hi Pierre, I am facing same issue as mentioned above for outlook presence.
I have applied all windows update but still facing this issue. Can you please help me on it. Which is the update exactly to solve the issue. I am using Outlook 2013. Delete yahoo smart folders.
